Supporting both patients and services
Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) is transforming diabetes care, offering patients real-time insights and greater control. But successful implementation depends on more than just prescribing the device – patients need to understand why and how to use it.
Our structured CGM course is designed to support patients in using their device confidently and effectively. It helps them understand their glucose patterns, explore the factors that influence their levels, and apply practical tips to improve self-management.
The course can be delivered in-person or virtually and is suitable for all CGM devices. Delivery can be led by our EMPOWER educators or by local staff trained through our partner programme.
What does the course cover for patients?
- Understanding CGM data and glucose trends
- Identifying personal patterns and influencing factors
- Exploring diet, timing, and the glycaemic index (GI)
- Using insights to improve diabetes management

Delivery options and support
This course is flexible by design. It can be run as a 2-hour maximum, one-off session and is suitable for 1:1 or group delivery – either face-to-face or virtually. All supporting materials are included and customisable to the CGM devices used locally.
We also offer a Train-the-Educator option for local educators, enabling services to deliver the course consistently and sustainably in-house.
